    Mandatory NinjaTrader Update Required for All Users by February 27th

    NinjaTrader is required to change a SSL certificate that is used in validating your license resulting in a mandatory software update. All users must update to version 7.0.1000.31 prior to Saturday, February 27th. Failure to do so will result in disruption of service.

    Mandatory Update FAQ

    License Failed To Verify - I installed the update, but I am receiving a message that my license cannot be verified.
    • Issue - You may be using Windows XP or Server 2003
    • Resolution
    • Download the following link: https://certs.godaddy.com/repository/gdroot-g2.crl
    • Save the file to your Desktop, right click on the file, and select Install CRL
    • Once complete you can start NinjaTrader


    My account connection is no longer listed in my Connections menu - I installed the update, but now my account connection is missing
    • Issue - You may be using Windows XP or Server 2003 and NinjaTrader cannot verify your license key which will hide your account connections until the license can verify
    • Resolution
    • Download the following link: https://certs.godaddy.com/repository/gdroot-g2.crl
    • Save the file to your Desktop, right click on the file, and select Install CRL
    • Once complete you can start NinjaTrader


    No Live Data After Update – I ran the update but now I am not receiving live data
    • Issue – Your previous version of NinjaTrader may have been much older and your instrument mappings may not be up to date
    • Resolution
    • Reset Instruments by going to NinjaTrader Control Center > Tools > Options > Data tab > Reset Instruments > OK > Restart NinjaTrader


    No Unity Section Found – I receive this error when starting NinjaTrader or trying to connect to my account
    • Issue – NinjaTrader was not installed correctly, likely due to not shutting down NinjaTrader prior to the update
    • Resolution
    • Uninstall NinjaTrader from the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features (you will not lose any of your settings, indicators, workspaces, etc)
    • Reinstall NinjaTrader
    • Download the update http://ninjatrader.com/bin/CVD.php
    • Double click the file once it has completed downloading and follow the installation prompts on your screen


    Can’t Connect to Account – I receive this error when trying to connect to my account, “There can only been one instance of the CQG …”
    • Issue – NinjaTrader was not installed correctly, likely due to not shutting down NinjaTrader prior to the update
    • Resolution
    • Uninstall NinjaTrader from the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features (you will not lose any of your settings, indicators, workspaces, etc)
    • Reinstall NinjaTrader

    • Double click the file once it has completed downloading and follow the installation prompts on your screen


    Still Getting Message to Update NinjaTrader - I think I updated but NinjaTrader, but I keep getting the Update pop up reminder in NinjaTrader
    • Issue – The update reminder should be checked to, “Do not show this message again.”
    • Resolution
    • Verify your version by going to the NinjaTrader Control Center > Help > About > NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.31
    • If NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.31, then select, “Do not show message again” on the pop-up
    • If a different version than NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.31, then shut down NinjaTrader and install the update here: http://ninjatrader.com/bin/CVD.php



    Trying to update but the NinjaTrader Installer is asking if I want to uninstall or repair
    • Issue – NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.31 is likely already installed
    • Resolution
    • Exit the installer
    • Verify your version by going to the NinjaTrader Control Center > Help > About > NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.31
    • If NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.31, there is nothing left for you to do as you are already updated

    • If a different version than NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.31, then
    • Uninstall NinjaTrader from the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features (you will not lose any of your settings, indicators, workspaces, etc)
    • Reinstall NinjaTrader
    • Download the update http://ninjatrader.com/bin/CVD.php
    • Double click the file once it has completed downloading and follow the installation prompts on your screen


    Cannot find temp file – I receive this error when attempting to uninstall or update NinjaTrader
