And it allows you to set the vertical range in ticks so that it is constant, this eliminates auto-scaling, you just drag the chart up and down as needed to follow price action. For example, this is useful for gaging slopes of Moving Averages to determine strength of trend.

I am trying to use the vertical scale indicator on a 1 minute mini-Dow chart.
My grid is set as follows:
--> price axis to 5 ticks
--> time axis to 5 minutes
I am trying to keep the grid "cells" as square as possible (5 x 5). I have tried many different scale settings, but when I scroll the chart, the cells continue to expand and compress just as before.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Make sure Auto scale is set to "true" for the VerticalScale indicator. Make sure all other indicators are set to "false". I have it setup that way and it works fine. Also, if you have trades showing on the chart with text and markers, it may slightly interfere with the scaling, you can just turn that off from the chart properties, Right Click -> Properties
