    Visual Studio 2008 Debugging Crash

Debugging with VS 2008 Professional is not working here...
I attach to NT process, open the cs indicator file but when I create a breakpoint VS crashes.

A little more info about what Im using:
    - NT v6.5.1000.10
    - VS 2008 Pro v9.0.30729.1 SP (latest updates)
    - .NET framework 3.5 SP1

    Hello,

It might be because you are using the "professional" version. This link may help:

Thanks for response, yes I'm using the professional edition not the express...
So may be there is another bug, if I can help with other information let me know... I have the crash report of VS but I doubt it would be of any help

Unfortunately this is beyond the scope of what we provide support for. Please contact Microsoft for assistance on how to use/debug Visual Studio.

          Debug in VS crashes

This still appears to be an issue. I followed the instructions in the help guide very carefully, but VS 2008 Pro crashes when attached to the NT process. I see over and over in these forums that NT does not support this or that.

NT has a long way to go. I was shocked to see how antiquated the editor and debug mode is in the product. Obviously, NT is trying to appease a lot of disappointed users by providing a way to debug in VS, but when an issue comes up on that, they just say they don't support it.

So put a decent editor and debugger in the base product!

VS 2005 Pro won't allow me to set a breakpoint

I am trying to debug in Pro version of VS 2005. All goes well until I try to set the breakpoint. I am given the following message, "The Breakpoint will not currently be hit. No Symbols have been loaded for this document"

I have seen others getting this error with VS Express, can anyone offer any guidance?

              Thanks in advance

Fixed the issue by searching a bit more

The script being debugged must be compiled after checking the "Debug Mode".
