    Entering a position after a certain number of bars have elapsed

    I'm trying to code a entry condition as follows;

    If the prices closes above X price for X bars then enter long.

    I'm having a hard time coding the 'X bars' element - could someone give me some pointers please?

    Thanks in advance.

    MJUK05, you can try using MRO() (most recent occurance) to check when the last time a certain criteria was met.

    Another option would be to use MAX() and/or MIN(). A for-loop would probably also work.
