    Subroutines

    Is it possible to call subroutines within custom strategy code?

    My example;
    I want to develop some code that calculates if a position should be taken given my current trading account balance.
    The routine will be passed variables for entry level, target levels, stop levels (to calculate risk reward ratio) and also a variable for max risk % acceptable from my strategy.
    The routine will then check account balance and determine if a trade is permitted and if so, how many lots to buy/sell.

    Can this be done in a separate file or as a subroutine within my strategy?

    Thanks

    BillyRayValentine, this is easiest in your own custom methods inside the strategy for example -
