Custom Bar guidance

Hi,

I am attempting to build a Custom Bar type and need to add two more input variables (an integer - Value3 and a TimeSpan) to the Period properties grid. I have attempted also to add a new properties Category as one might do in a standard indicator without success.

I realize this will be outside 'normal' support but I am hoping someone may offer some hints or guidance on how to do this.

Hello rt-Trader,

All we can suggest here is to look at the example bar types file. My Documents\NinjaTrade\bin\custom\type\@BarTypes.cs.

You can also see an implementation of indicator as bartype with the system indicator HeikenAshi.

Unfortunately no additional documentation or support is available for custom bar types.

I had heard Ray mention in a recent presentation that some limited support for undocumented questions might be provided by a specially appointed individual.

Yes, we were on course to provide additional advanced support however, the demand for that subsided significantly and thus Art has since moved fulltime into our development group.

i did manage to add an additional input but couldnt make it work in totality. have a look into the attached file.

pls lookinto the getproperties function.

Sorry for the late response - yes I managed to get to a similar place but couldnt resolve the issue so I have shelved it for now.
