    Time[0].DayOf Week function

    Hi,

I've attached a copy of the data I am using (daily data.png) and a screen shot of that data (^DXY(Daily)....jpg).

    1) Why does the data for 20110107 post as the bar for Jan 8, 2011?
    2) If I were to use the DayOfWeek function, would I refer to the bar as Saturday as printed on the chart or Friday as per the data downloaded (since the data is for Jan 7, 2011)

    Regards

    Kay Wai

Hi Kay, what session template are you using for the DXY market and in which timezone would it be setup?

      Hi Bertrand,

Right now, the data I am using are daily charts.

      1) The session template says <use instrument settings>
      2) In the Instrument Manager, the session template for DXY, which incidentally is the Dollar Index, is Default 24/7
      3) If you look at the daily data which I have, it is from Monday to Friday but when charted it is from Tueday to Saturday.
      4) The data is historical data. I am not running "live" data yet. And if it is daily historical data, how does the timezone affected the data?
      5) When I used the historical data manager to upload the abovementioned's daily data to NT7, irrespective of whether I use "NinjaTraded (timestamps in the import file(s) represent end of bar time) OR "NinjaTraded (timestamps in the import file(s) represent start of bar time) , the chart still plots the same.
      6) And just to answer you, my Timezone is GMT +8:00

      Regards

      Kay Wai

Thanks for the replies Kay, yes the historical data plotting and alignment would be affected the session templates time zone set as well - would you mind giving the HKFE session template a try that's setup in your timezone?

HKFE works fine Bertrand! Thx again!

Kay, would you please send me part of data you use to support at ninjatrader dot com to test?

I tested Kinetick's DX in your timezone with the session template set to HKFE and I see no issue here.

            Thanks
