Apply an Outline color for Heiken Ashi Candle

Hey gang...how do I place an outline color around a Heiken Ashi candle with "wicks" on both top and bottom? NO outline needed if there's a wick on just top or just bottom.

Like coloring "doji's" in NON Heiken Ashi mode.

Hello MM,

With the heiken ashi indicator, there are color controls for up bars, down bars, and the outline. If you're looking at the indicator parameters, the outline is the Shadow color as indicated in the attached screenshot.

Hi Ryan...that's a start, thank you...now to take it a step further.

How do I place an outline ONLY on candles that show BOTH a top and bottom wick?

The other candles will stay normal; Red or Green with a standard Black wick outline.

You have to custom code this. You can save a copy of the indicator by right clicking within the editor > Save As > Provide a new name.

Unfortunately we aren't able to provide much guidance on the specific technique used to assign colors conditionally with this indicator. The color assignment works differently than standard bars. Hopefully other community members with experience overriding the Plot method can assist here.
