Woodies CCI settings

Hi All,
I am using the 6.5.04 beta with Woodies CCI indicator with standard settings and another with 50 Trend CCI settings.
I have noticed that the second one with the trend CCI set at 50 does not appear to be any different from the 14 CCI settings.
Any ideas as to what the problem may be due to?

Hi Bamboo,

I believe what you are seeing is attributed to not enough loaded data. If you look at my screenshot the two Woodies CCI are different.

If you have a file containing data you can import data by following the steps outlined here. http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...V6/Import.html

You most likely will also want to check the "Store real-time bar data" option so you can backfill your charts with data stored in your database instead of relying solely on the MB historical data which is fairly limited. This option is located in Tools->Options->Data tab.

You may also want to check out one of our other data providers to backfill your charts with.

Josh how do I import data from one of the other providers?
Where can I download the data from?

You will first need an account at one of the other data providers. Then you can follow the steps outlined here to get a connection going with them.

Hi Bamboo,

as Josh already pointed out, the difference is most likely caused of less data.

1) do you see a difference, if you load more bars, or (if not possible), set the period settings to 3 minutes instead of 30 ? If yes, everything is ok with die WoodiesCCI. Just use more bars.

2) If more that 50 indicator bars are shown, and the indicators still look the same, please zip the folder <user>\My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\workspaces and send it to christian AT ninjatrader DOT com.

Yes you are correct- it is a lack of historical data cuasing the similarities. I can get as far as 2 mins data from this AM on cable.

How can I make the figures in the Woodies panel larger?

In chart right click -> chart properties
Set the property 'label font' larger, e.g. 'Arial, 12pt'.

WCCI trending box

I see a box in the top left corner of the WCCI and it tells me if a pair is trending. Is there and explanation somewhere about what the figure that is in that box means?

I believe that is the sidewinder state? Better check with the WoodiesCCI forum to get 100% accuracy.

Data

I have managed to get hold of some historic data. But the data looks like this:
355797789,EUR/USD,2007-10-2817:01:15,1.441700,1.442000,D
355797790,EUR/USD,2007-10-2817:01:16,1.441800,1.442100,D
355797848,EUR/USD,2007-10-2817:02:37,1.441900,1.442200,D

What should it look like so that I can modify the data to be used by NT?
Also should the file be renamed to match that displayed in the Instrument manager. e.g $EURUSD?
Is it ok to save the data in ASIC format text file?

Hi,
Is it possible to change the colour of the panel background?
Can I set alerts for when the cci x's the Zero Line?
