    Compile Error Code CS0006

    Hello,
    when i compile I get a CS0006 error.
    MSDN error code :
    Metadata file 'dll_name' could not be found
    Can anyone help me with this.

    Hi Mickslash, can you please either take a screenshot of the exact error or post the exact text here so we can further diagnose this issue?

      I get this error message everytime I try to compile something

        Hello Mickslash,

        Most likely this points to incorrect references to required assemblies. This could happen if the Documents\NinjaTrader 7 points to an installation folder that's changed, or was previously used in 32 bit.

        You can correct these references using Right Click > References screen.

        If you are unsure how to proceed, please send a note to support 'at' ninjatrader 'dot' com Attn RyanM and I will help you resolve this with remote assistance.

          Thanks, I got it to work by pointing to the right file location. I have another question, I am trying to back test a strategy but when I pick an instrument to back test the strategy screen opens but none of my strategies show up. Any ideas?

            Glad to hear the reference issue is taken care of.

            For your strategies not showing up - Are there any messages on log tab of the control center? Errors calling Initialize() for any one strategy may prevent others from showing up.

              Hi Ryan,

              I have the same problem, I have gone through to reference and added the .dll framework files that are missing but I still get the CS0006 code when I try to compile. Can yiou help me with remote assistance please.
