    NT 7 Language Compliance

    Hi,

Does anyone know if the latest version of NT is C# 4 compliant? It does not appear to be but I could be missing something. Please let me know. Thank you.

    Hello Zeos6,
NinjaTrader 7 is not built on .Net Framework 3.5 and you cannot refer any assembly to .Net Framework 4 or above.

Please change the target of the assembly to .Net Framework 3.5 and see if you can make it work.

Thanks Joydeep. I was trying to use tuples but those are c#4. Any idea if and when NT will be Framework 4 compliant? Thanks.

        Hello Zeos6,
Unfortunately I do not have any information regarding that. However our next major version is built on .Net Framework 4.5

I am also needing to know which version of the C# language has been implemented by NT7? I really need to know for the strategy I'm building.

I understand NT8 will be using C# language version 4.5.

I'm not asking which version of the .NET framework. Specifically, I need to know which version of the C# language is being used for NT7. Thank you.

            Hello BuckStar,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forum!

NinjaTrader uses .NET 3.5 which includes the compiler 3.0 for C#.

Thanks for confirming! Does it apply for all import export documents?

                Hello Marius Titulescu,

I had removed the advertisement link from your post. The forum is meant to be support focused, so we ask that any advertisement links are excluded from your posts. Thanks for your understanding.

All scripts exported from NinjaTrader 7 would be built for .NET 3.5 and this version of C#.

Assemblies can be built in Visual Studio that allow for newer versions of C#, but these assemblies could not be built from NinjaTrader 7.

                We look forward to assisting.
