    Trade Trigger

If I have OnBarClose = True and Exit on Close(not sure if these matter), when I have a strategy condition for Close[0] > Highs[1][0], with the primary series being 15min and secondary being 60min, will the trade trigger on the 15min bar after the 15min bar that closes above the hourly high?

    Hello zachj,

    Thank you for your post.

With CalculateOnBarClose = True the order will be placed once the 60 minute bar closes and the 15 minute bar closes at the same time above the high of the 60 minute bar, not one bar afterwards.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Not quite sure im grasping that, if that 15min bar is part of the 60min bar data how can it close above the high?

        Hello zachj,

        Thank you for your response.

You are correct, that will not happen if it is the same instrument. If you want to check if the 15 minute bar that closes after the 60 minute bar is higher than the high of the 60 minute bar you can use Closes[0][0] > Highs[1][1].

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Ok thanks. This is switching gears a bit but if I have one of the conditions to go long is once the fast MA crosses above the slow MA, is it possible to create another condition to only go long when a bar closes above the high of the bar where the MA cross took place?

            Hello zachj,

            Thank you for your response.

You can use MRO() to store the bars ago value of the CrossAbove condition and then use that bars ago int to check the Close against that high.

For information on MRO() please visit the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...urence_mro.htm

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
