    Backdata import issue

    Hi,

I am facing issue with importing historical data on NT7.

Importing data (Last, Bid and Ask) successfully and able to browse in edit view (Historical Data Manager --> Edit --> [Symbol] Last/Bid/Ask options)

Now when I am trying to run strategy with imported data or want to see chart using chart options...It doesn't display anything.

Kindly let me know what I am missing...

    Regards,
    Ziaul

    Hi ziaul,

    Thanks for your note.

May I have a sample of the importable data?

Also, what is the symbol (and expiry) in question, the interval your chart is viewing, and the start day and days to load on your chart?

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

It can't be possible to send you sample data (Huge size), so I am sending you snapshot of imported data.

      Instrument name: FGBL 09-13
Data: Start Date Jan 2013 to May 2013

NT7--> File --> New -->Chart Options are attached, Kindly refer it and let me where I am missing.

      Thank you.

        Hi ziaul,

        Thanks for the screenshots.

The FGBL instrument was using the 06-13 contract during January of 2013. The rollover dates for this may be causing the data to not show.

        Please try the following setting:
        • Click Tools -> Options... -> select the Data tab
        • Change the Merge policy: to DoNotMerge
        • Click OK
        • Right-click the chart -> select Reload All Historical Data

An alternative, would be to import this as FGBL 06-13 data and open a FGBL 06-13 chart with the same time period in the custom range.

Please let me know if this does not work for you.
