    mysql connection

    Hello

I have been using a connection between my Ninja trader and mySqL for months without any issue and a high level of satisfaction.

But today after the installation of visual studio 2012 and some re installation of the mySql connector it's not working anymore, i get the following error message.

Error on calling 'OnTermination' method for strategy 'LSetUpP1SMIV0/8e493c3870ce45ea9d73d1cbb6d7502c': Impossible de charger le fichier ou l'assembly 'MySql.Data, Version=6.7.4.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d' ou une de ses dépendances. Le fichier spécifié est introuvable.

In english it would be something like
impossible to load the file or the assembly Mysql.data or one of its dependancies. the file is not found.

I have re installed the reference (right clik in a opened script , remove the reference and add again) . I found the reference in Programfile x86, mysql/mysqlconnector/.../assemblies/v2.0.
i tried it also with v4 but i get the same error.

What should i do to solve the issue.

    Many thanks in avance

I have tried to reinstall the Mysql connector (repair mode) : same result

I have no error at compilation just when the program runs

Yesterday i have also reinstalled ninjat o try to get version 16 (but still on 15 after the excecution of the setup.exe prog)

    Lionel,

    Thank you for your post.

I am not familiar with the MySql.Data.Dll, could you explain what the overall use of the connector is with the script?

      Hello
it's in fact a strategy not and indicator which write in a Mysql database infomation about trades generated by a backtest (several indicators values).

I use the database to optimise the set up

        Hi Lionel,

This kind of method writing to the database is unsupported and would not be able to provide assistance in this matter.

However, I will leave this thread open to see if any of our other users have been able to accomplish this task and would be able to provide further insight into the matter.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance

          Hello
That's a pitty because it helps a lot making ninja trader a great tool.

By the way in the past I received assistance from ninjasupport about these issues ( see below)

Could you reconsider your point of view ?
