Advanced question about workspaces

Hi Ninja Support!

I have developed a small, free Workspace switcher tool, which can be downloaded and have been downloaded by hundreds of people from your site.

I would like to update it for a better version, and I would need one tiny information from you - although it is non-documented coding.


How could I get the list of currently active workspaces?
The _Workspaces.xml gets updated only when NT is exited...


Once again: I know your policy about non-documented code, still I (and many happy users) would be very thankful if you could give me this simple answer.

Thank you for your post.

This is not possible to get a list of the active workspaces. Only the _Workspace.xml and Trace file will show what workspaces are being loaded when starting NinjaTrader.

Thats what I was afraid of. I am extremely thankful for the reply however.

If I am not going too far with this question (and this will be the last): Is opening a workspace possible from outside by WorkspaceOptions.OpenWorkspace method, or some other insider-work (opening forms according to the xml) is needed?

I again know that this is undocumented and it is tinkering, but it may be of good use of many.

There is a free indicator on our forum that is available and I believe that it opens the workspaces for you. There are only two available, the links are below -

The first one is my tool, and I am making it a lot more advanced.

The second tool contains the answer though, so I have to tank you for letting me know that this exists.
