    A very simple programming question

    Hi ninjas,

    As we know, in programming you can set this sentence ( typical counters in looping )

    for (int x = 0; x < 100; x++)
    {
    Print("NinjaTrader");
    }

    Where the new value of X is updated adding 1 to the old value. Giving this property, I'd like to do this but being sure that I ain't gonna get any dynamical error:

    T= Math.Sign( T )

    Is gonna this sentence set the new value of T, calculating the sign for the old T value?

    can anybody of support team answer my basic question ?

      Hello,

      The statement T= Math.Sign( T ); is valid assuming T is a valid input

      You can see the outcome by doing something like this

      Print(T);
      T= Math.Sign( T );
      Print(T);

      I don't know that I fully understand your question, but the above would have a similar result as doing something like

      T = T+28;//sets the new value of T to the current value + 28

        Thanks Lance. I just wanted to be sure that this assignment will be like this using that math function.
