    C++ Reference

    I am looking for a C++ online basic reference manual (not tutorials). Some examples of what I need:
    • methods and functions for string manipulation, particularly comparisons.
    • syntax for various C++ programming constructs, e.g., ForEach, Select/Case?, For( ... )
    • Data type conversion methods and rules.

    I have looked at MSDN but can't find anything this basic. Perhaps I need to join MSDN in order to find what is there.

    Any suggestions appreciated. If MSDN is the answer, then a link to get this type of information would be great.

    You should be looking for C#, not C++.

      C# Stuff

      Thanks sledge. That's just what I needed and I'm glad you ignored my "no tutorials" comment.

      ... but while you're writing snippets
      I need to test a 1-character string, sGlyph, to see if it is a digit. Another way to say it: is sGlyph a member of "0123456789".
      Thanks again.
