    Getting definition error and will not compile

    I created a script using the Fisher Transformation indicator. I then copied the script and gave it a new name and deleted the old script. However, when I open up the new script it will not compile. I am getting an error message of "The type Ninja StrategyOver2 aleady contains a definition of "Abt", which is a variable I defined in the orignal script but have delete. Does the NinjaTrader retains a copy of the script even though I have deleted? I am at lost. Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Don

    Hello Don,

    Thank you for your post.

    It is best to first open the original indicator or strategy and then right click int he NinjaScript Editor > select Save As > and give the new indicator or strategy a different name. This will ensure the references are correct between the two files.

    Under the namespace NinjaTrader : Indicator you will need to properly list the name for the files:
    Code:
    public class YourFilesName : Indicator
    This would be the usual case, if this does not correct the matter please attach the file to your response. You will locate the files in the following directory on your PC: (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Indicator or Strategy
