imalil, I would check out what you see in the databox as plots for this study. Those could be definitely accessed via code then.

For an example check into a common multiplot indicator such as the MACD -

There is nothing in the data box concerning this indicator. It says 'dummy'. I attached a screenshot.

However, this indicator has 2 parts: the usable one with order flow that does not appear in the data box, and a useless add-on that does appear in the data box. The useless one has a label that I don't know how to interpret. I attached a screenshot.

Does this label give me hope for doing what I'm trying to do?

      Thanks.

I believe the "plot" you see on your chart uses "unsupported graphic methods" instead of standard methods of NT. The developer also didn't expose a data series for the plot. So there are no ways to retrieve the data rather than ... viewing it with naked eyes

Could you tell me what the "empty placeholder indicator for creating plots in NinjaScript strategies" means? Are they allowing you to do something by writing this? And if so, what?

That makes it sound like you have a Strategy rather than an Indicator. Are you sure that what you have is an indicator?

If you look at the attachment you'll see this is how the developer labeled it. It is an order flow indicator that simply gives you order flow displayed in the time frame of your choice. It's not a strategy, just information. I just want to know what this label means.

Well, Strategies do not have a Plot method, so in order to Plot in a Strategy, many folks use a dummy indicator, to which they pass the values from the Strategy, for the Indicator to Plot.

I have never seen a dummy indicator used to Plot in an indicator, which is why I asked the question. It looks strange to use a dummy indicator to Plot in an indicator, as the indicator itself already has a Plot method that it can override.

Your best option would be to contact the indicator vendor and ask them to provide you with what you want. The worst that they can do it to decline, but you will never know if you do not ask.

Everything I ask here, I ask them. This forum just responds much quicker. I don't want to criticize them, I like the indicator. I just want to alert myself when a condition happens. But it's looking to be impossible.
