have a question regarding the Maximum bars look back number.It`s hardcoded as 256.The question is,what is the reason for that exact number?Is there some fundamental reason behind that number,or it was just arbitrary picked number?

haha, I had that warning too off of google. Their certificate expired 35 days ago or so. Original link was https... thought without it would be fine.

Just explains 256 is 0 to 255, 8 bits, or 1 byte.

I think NT just went with it for performance reasons back in the day when windows was 32 bit only, 4 gigs was max... But of course they would need to explain.

Thanks for the post.

256 was found to be a friendly PC performance based value for NinjaTrader.

This value is coded to default to 256 but is able to be changed to infinite based on a clients desired settings.
