Enable and Disable live trading conditionally

    Hi,

I know it's not supported, but I want to make sure that it's possible if being a prof programmer.

Is it possible to programmatically enable or disable placing live orders ?
Is it possible to programmatically enable or disable placing live short (or only long) orders ?

    Little explaination why:
I want to split the human , the computer and the monkey in my mind.
The human decides according some trading rules if trading live is accepted.
The computer (bot) also decides according to some conditions if live trading is accepted.
The monkey will not be able to trade live until above two agree so I will make less errors and chase less trades when the monkey inside come up to trade

If possible point me into the right direction to I can get onto my new adventure

    Hello Creamers,

Thank you for writing in. Currently we do not provide support for changing the simulation mode via NinjaScript/C#. Another option for what you are trying to achieve is to leave Global Simulation Mode checked (File -> Global Simulation Mode), then run a strategy (Computer) that gives you an alert when its' conditions are met on the Sim101 account. Then when your own conditions (Human) are met and the strategy (Computer) has alerted you, you can disable Global Simulation Mode and begin live trading (Monkey) by creating a new strategy with the live account, or manually executing live trades. You could expand on this method by programming additional code into the first strategy to also alert you when it is no longer OK to trade live so you can manually close or exit your positions.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.
