How do we make the buy/sell signal appear right after the close of the bar

Hi,

I know ninjatrader executes on the opening of the next bar after the signal is triggered. Based on what I observed, the chart the signal also only appears on the following bar. Currently, I am testing a strategy on stocks running on daily bars. What I want to know is whether there is a way I can make the buy/sell signal appear on the chart right after Close since all the processing should have been done by then. This is so that at least I am aware that an execution will be triggered when the market opens the next day which is still many hours away after it closes.

Hello lengguan,

Thank you for writing in.

As the bar has not technically closed on the chart yet (until the next tick comes in that will build the next bar), the logic will not execute until that new bar opens.

To get around this, changing the CalculateOnBarClose property for your script to false will allow it to evaluate in real-time and will show the signal when it occurs.
