customising Charttrader order submission (just a little)

Hi,

I would like to have custom buttons on my chart trader to submit orders at certain prices, etc. For example, click a button on charttrader to rapidly set qty to 5 (I can probably figure that one out), submit an order if 2 MA's cross, etc.

I found an example here which demonstrates adding buttons to charttrader in NT8. Works great. What I'm not sure of is if there is any supported/recommended way to submit orders via charttrader with these buttons?

As far as I can see so far, it's either try and code this in a strategy (but not sure if you could access chartrader then), or perhaps try and use the ATI interface for routing the orders? Any other options for order routing?

Hello,

Although you have found a solution, to aid in your original question you can also use the "Addon Framework" to place orders and do other actions from outside of a strategy in NT8.

There have been advancements related to custom design in the platform, the addon framwork items would aid in creating custom content or windows for the platform or modifying existing windows and controls like the chart trader.
