Shout Out to NinjaTrader_PaulH RE: HACO NT7

    Hi Paul,
Happy New Year. Not sure if this is the best way to contact you but didn't see your email on the HACO download. Thanks for the great indicator. It surely gets around those humongous wicks on a HA candle yet performs the same function. I'm having a bit of an issue with it as my chart scrunches up and I'm constantly using the vertical scroll on the right side to straighten it out. Is it possible for you to take a second look at it to see if this issue can be remedied? Also, is it possible to add color and opacity options, if possible? Hope I'm not sounding greedy. ;-) A huge thank you.

    Hello radist,

    Thank you for your note.

The best way to contact a member of NinjaTrader Support to send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com.

You can send your inquiry and link to the indicator in question.

I will have Paul follow up with you once he is next available.

      Hello radist,

      Thanks for your post.

The HACO indicator would typically create a new panel to display the indicator value in which ranges from 0 to 1. If you are specifying the indicator to be put into the price panel then yes it would have that effect as the indicator will autoscale the chart to show both 0 to 1 valued indicator and the price (whatever that instrument's price is). Please make sure the indicator is placed in its own panel which it should do by default. If this does not resolve the issue, please post a screenshot of how your complete chart looks.

In terms of changes to the indicator, the source code has been provided so that you can customize as you wish. We do not provide custom coding solutions.

If you would like to create these changes yourself, we can provide assistance with getting started with Ninjascript, which is based on C# programming language.

Alternately, if you would like these changes made by others we can provide a link to 3rd party programmers who provide that service.

Thank you PaulH for your response. The indicator is in the input series and attached please find a screenshot of the bunching. Thanks again.

if you insist on having HACO on the same panel as price then change scale justification to left or overlay, that will fix chart squeeze problem.

            Hello radist,

            Thanks for your post.

As previously advised, if you set the indicator panel to "new panel" the indicator will be put into its own panel and will not cause the price bars to be so small. The autoscale of the chart is trying to show the HACO indicator which is a value of 0 or 1 and the price bars which are priced about 2570.

If you want to keep the HACO indicator in the price panel, as member nkhoi advised, you can change the indicators scale justification to "Left" or "Overlay", either of these options will allow you to see the black line of the indicator in the price panel.

I missed the "Overlay" directive --- works perfectly now. Thanks so much.
