Indicator not deleted
I have deleted the file of my indicator (directory /Ninjtrader 8/Bin/Custom/Indicators) but this indicators appears in the list of them when I work with a new chart.
How can I deleted it completely?Tags: None

Hello zoetruck,
stphnlwlsh is correct, uninstalling and reinstalling retains custom additions to the NinjaTrader documents folder.
Indicators listed in the Indicators window will be listed by the indicator's class name. This may not be the file name seen in the NinjaScript Editor or the NinjaTrader 7/bin/custom/indicators folder. This also may not match the name of an assembly listed in Remove NinjaScript Assembly.
If you have exports of your installed assemblies that you can re-import, I would recommend removing NinjaScript assemblies from the Control Center until the indicator is gone. If the indicator is still there, you should be able to find it in a Windows Explorer window by searching for the indicator's name in the NinjaTrader 7/bin/custom folder.
If there is still an issue, please let us know.

Hi Chris
I have the same issue - trying to remove an indicator from my NT8 but it's not found in the Ninja Script Assembly.
As you've suggested, an uninstall and reinstall will fix this issue. Before I proceed with this, is there a way to retain some of the saved templates and somehow copy these back into the new NT 8 after the re-installation has taken place?
Thanks

Hello stphnlwlsh,
A basic uninstall and reinstall should resolve this:
* To perform a basic uninstall and reinstall:
*
* Close NinjaTrader
* Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs or Programs and Features
* From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 7 or 8 and click Remove.
* Once these steps are completed, download and install NinjaTrader from the link below:
*
* http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration.php
Please let me know if your inquiry persists.

It doesn't show up in that list. There's only one item in the list and it's an indicator that I'm using and want to keep.

Hello stphnlwlsh,
Thank you for your note.
Have you made sure to remove them from Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly?
I look forward to your reply.

I've removed from custom indicators folder, and the indicators are not attached to a template yet the still show up in my list.

Hello soyjesus,
Thank you for your note.
Do you find the assembly listed in Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly of the Control Center? If so, please remove from this menu. I also suggest ensuring that there is no reference to this indicator in any template you may be loading on your new charts.
