Volume and Momentum
Is anyone aware of an indicator that can assess the degree of strength of a pullback? For example, once price retraces is there an indicator that can assess the amount of volume to assess whether the pullback is losing strength or if it still has strength behind it and is therefore likely to continue. I would think something that combines both volume and momentum would need to be included. I have been trying to use various settings of the Force Index that includes both Volume and Price differences as a gauge but it's been unsuccessful. Any ideas or suggestions?Last edited by RJBen; 10-11-2008, 12:08 PM.Tags: None

RSI might do what you want. It shows you the relative strength or weakness of price compared to its past history.
Otherwise, you're asking for an indicator to estimate future probabilities of turning direction in the next bar. If someone has written such a thing, it isn't likely to be shared.
