    Tweak an existing indicator

I'd like to tweak an existing indicator. Is there a way to unlock the code of an exisitng indicator so I can get a look at it and copy what I need into the Indicator Development Wizard?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your note.

You can access the indicator code by going to Tools>Edit>Indicator>select the indicator>OK.

You can cut and paste this code into other strategies and indicators, however once you do that you cannot modify it via the Strategy Wizard any more because you have Unlocked the code.

      Bline tweak

I bet, Ben , that you knew I would be wondering about this.... lol

Is there some way that I can tweak that Bline indicator to include stoch 5,3,3 and also stoch 7,3,3. ie have all three of them in the same panel...

Is it possible to add the details for two more stochs into the bline indicator...

      Thanks

        Hello Dave,

Good to hear from you again.

Since both indicators are scaled the same you can change the panel numbers of both the Stoch and the Bline to the same panel number and they will overlay well.

You cannot add an indicator to the existing indicator without producing the plot like it is done within the Stoch indicator.

That worked. Super..!!!!! thanks so much...

            Now then....

Once I changed them to be both in panel 1... the chart became distorted, in that the price bars were squeezed tpo the very top of the chart... ie panel 1 took over the chart....

How can I get it to behave...? lol

I think I have resolved it. by putting my stochastics panel beneath another panel..

but you may have another idea as to what to do with this

Thanks for your help on this..

You will want to set AutoScale to false on the indicator. Please take note that if your indicator has values very far away from your price values then they will not show up because it is too far down/up the y-axis scale.
