I have an indicator available which identifies pin bars as follows:

-> standard pin bars (significant upper or lower shadow)
-> railways (higher timeframe pin bars)

The pin bars are filtered

-> a pin bar for a reversal up is required to be an upclose
-> a pin bar for a reversal down is required to be a downclose
-> pin bars are only shown if they are on the edge or outside a consolidation area

UPDATES on PinBars

It's now 2014, has anyone Gotten this indicator to Work?? if So please Share. or can someone point me to a PinBar Ninja Indicator. I just want it to show pinBars.

I updated velocity's version basically by setting the pinBarRange to 0. When you subtract:

High[1]-Low[1]

You get a number like 0.000123 which will never be higher than 1. I know what he's trying to do and was thinking of using a multiplier there, but not sure how that would work across all charts. So, for now, you just have to set it as a decimal value similar to the number above.

The DrawLine and DrawRectangle needed updating for NT7 (previously written for 6.5).

I added a few minor tweaks to allow sound and the draw rectangle as true/false indicator parameters/options. You can also choose which alert sound you want to use (of the four alertX ones).

I'm using NT7 x64 and basically new to NT and pin bars, but not new to programming or trading. So, let me know if you see anything wonky. I haven't tried importing it either, and initially had to manually import it. It's a straight export.

If you're looking at this a few months down the road, I would say skip the option of importing the @MIN and @MAX files, but I'm not sure that's an option to get a successful import.

I can't invest too much time on it as I'm trying to get up to speed on NT for a project I'm working on, but, I'll give it a try...where is it? Is it just broken or a total rewrite?

I created a modified version of pinbars indicator that:

1) Puts the arrow on the pinbar
2) Allows everything else to be an option as to whether it shows on the chart or not (or makes a sound).

The text is more of a helper now (i.e. "Pinbar Hammer Down", etc) and a few other little things.

Please let me know of any suggestions. I think the Alert needs to be regulated because it plays through the whole candle. So, on a larger timeframe chart, that might be annoying.

Also, with the last one I posted. I didn't notice that there's an "Alert" and a "PlaySound" which basically do the same thing. However, the PlaySound uses a file path, hence the x64 mention. But, now it's fixed/updated to use "Alert" only and the x64 is not relevant.

Hi , Looks good ...an option to have painted bars would be nice .And I'm not able to remove arrows .
