Migrating custom Indicators from NT6.5 to NT7

Hi,

Could anyone confirm if custom indicators written for and working on NinjaTrader 6.5 (current version) will work on NinjaTrader 7?

Would NT7 require any modification for strategies/indicators written for NT6.5? If so, what type of modifications?

Anything else to be aware regarding custom indicators/strategies and the transition from NT6.5 to NT7?

For the most part they will work. There will be some code changes that may require some tweaking though depending on the script.

Could you be a little more specific, perhaps an example of some scripts that you already know may require "tweaking"?

How complex can "tweaking" get? Could it be then easier just to re-write the indicator again?

I'm deciding about my charting platform. I'm not happy with the data issues at futures contract expiration/rollover, but i understand that NT7 would in fact get that issue sorted out. However, rewriting and/or "tweaking" perfectly working custom indicators just to have them work in NT7 is something i'm not planning on.

BTW is NT7 on schedule for release this quarter?

Unfortunately there is no further information I can provide at this time in regards to what may or may not change for the code. For the most part they will be simple tweaks.
