    QQE MT4 vs Ninja

I would like to use the MT4 version of QQE on my NT charts. The MT4 has an extra setting in the QQE called WP. Has anyone converted the MT4 QQE to NT or have a QQE that is improved over the standard QQE in NT?

    Thank you

Mark, unfortunately I'm not familiar with MT4's version with the extra input, perhaps some community members can chime in here....

      Mark,

I am not familiar with the MT4 version of QQE but I suspect that this extra setting you mention refers to line 93 in NT's version of Elliott Wave : the value 4.236.

You can make this value a parameter in the code if you wish.

If I have time tomorrow I will give it a go and post it here as I wanted to do it for myself some time now. But I am not sure if we talk for the same thing...

        QQE MT4 vs Ninja

I believe the WP stands for Wilders Period. It does not show up as an additonal line but does affect the point of crossover. NT does not have an adjustment for WP.

I am trying to match a NT chart to a MT4 chart. The QQE is the only item that doesn't match up to the method used on the MT4 chart.

Ok. Eliott Wave's port of MT defines Wilders Period as:

          Wilders_Period=rSI_Period * 2 - 1;

So, for rsi=14 WB becomes 27..

Again you can turn this to a parameter and then you can place whatever value you please for WB.

I will have a go tomorrow and I will also make WP a user adjustable parameter and I'll post it here. Tell me what period you have for WP in your chart in order to place it as a default value.

I think you are right in what you found. There has been alot of indicator code that has been converted between MT4 and Ninja. It is beyond my limited programming skills to add the Welles Period into Ninja's QQE indicator. I had hoped someone had already converted it from MT4 to NT.

Thank you for taking the time to look it up.

I am using the WP=3 as a default. I appreciate your effort.

                Good luck

                  Mark,

Here it is. WP and Filter became user adjustable.

                    Astra

Thanks for the modified QQE. I was able to match up to the MT4 QQE fairly close with a filter reading of 3. What is the filter for and how is it used?

I'm glad you like it. What I called Filter was a "mystic" number used in one of the calculations - now default value of "Filter". Usually, ad hoc numbers in a code are the result of advanced TA. I always like to experiment with them!
