    MAMA Indicator

    Hi Ninjas,

I've just noticed in the release log that the MAMA indicator changed with the release of v6.5.1000.12. Can you tell me please what changed?

Having scanned through the code I've noticed that your implementation differs significantly from the code on the MESA website.

Has there been a correction/improvement published somewhere? If so do you have a URL you could point me to?

    Thanks

ScoobyStoo, will need to check into and get back to you - just for clarification - calculated values on todays ES match Ehlers's TS version from 'Rocket Science for Traders'.

ScoobyStoo, this was a correction for the differences between TS and Math ArcTangent function returns - TS returns degrees while Math would return radians.

        Thanks Bertrand.

That's bizarre though. There's a (180 / Math.PI) term which has crept into the period and phase calculations which certainly isn't in the Easy Language code in 'Rocket Science for Traders'.

John's got the code on his website (http://www.mesasoftware.com/technicalpapers.htm).

P.S. I've never understood why that code has a variable SmoothPeriod when it's never used. You guys have removed it completely from the NT implementation.

I believe 180/pi is just math for converting between unit type.
