I have noticed that when the 'Indicator' is selected by right clicking inside a chart that ALL indicators within the system their Initialize() function is called. Is there a way to avoid calling the indicators initialize() until the 'Apply' button is pressed?

What happens when 'Apply' button is pressed
Greetings,
I have noticed that when the 'Indicator' is selected by right clicking inside a chart that ALL indicators within the system their Initialize() function is called. Is there a way to avoid calling the indicators initialize() until the 'Apply' button is pressed?Tags: None

Hi there, unfortunately that is not possible. If you have code that you'd like to run just once at the beginning of the strategy/indicator, you can just execute that code at the first bar:
Code:protected override void OnBarUpdate() { if (CurrentBar == 0) { // run code just once } }
