    Assistance with MFI Indicator

Hello this is my first thread on this forum, so I hope I'm following protocol with submitting this question??

The attached file contains the code for Bill M. Williams Market Facilitation Index indicator. I got it from this site, however I'm unable to compile it or simply get it to work.

I wonder if someone could take a look at it for me and let me know what might be the problem?

    Cheers

carlton, welcome on the forums - do you get any compile errors on your end? It should compile well, but we would not suggest naming the files with the @ in front as it would normally signify an NT system indicator shipped per default.

    Thanks,

You can import this with File/Import (NT7) - I didn't check anything about it - just compiled it.

Looks like it needs to have the bars colored by conditions, but I haven't really read up on it.

          Bertrand,

Did I need to import it? I just saved it in the indicator folder.

          I'm a newbie

No, cs can't be imported you would need to copy them into the appropriate folders and then recompile any indicator, only zips could be directly imported using the utility.

              Tarkus,

Thanks mate. It worked. However, it certainly doesn't appear as I intended....

                  Mfi

                  Hi.
I took the BW MFI from the Ninja 6 and tried to convert it to NT7. It works on my system but I am not sure I did it the right way. I just copy and paste the main part of the code over the code on the one in this thread that didn't have the colors you were looking for. The zip attached labeled MFI is my conversion and the other attachment MarketFacilitationIndex is the original from NT6 by eDanny in the NT6 indicators downloads. Hope this helps.

                      Hi Rob,

I tried importing your MFI indicator, but I kept on getting the following error

SoI tried deleting the existing MFI but I still kept on getting the error message.

Any thoughts why I might be getting the error?

                      Cheers

I was afraid that might happen. For some reason it works when I convert code to NT7 that way in my NT7 but it won't export/import correctly. Hopefully someone here can take the original eDanny code that I attached and convert it to NT7 the right way and it will work. Sorry about that but hopefully it will lead to what you are looking for. I am pretty sure that eDanny did what you want for the NT6 indicator.
