I want to create custom indicator

Hi

I want to create custom indicator based on the following condition

1 I am using range bars to view charts.
2 MACD is above Zero lines and signal lines = Green Bars
3 When RSI is above 70 = Green Triangles below the bars
4 MACD is below Zero lines and signal lines = Red Bars
5 When RSI is below 30 = Red triangles below the bars.

NinjaTrader does not provide custom development. If you would like to have something custom developed for you there are 3rd party NinjaScript consultants who can do this for you. If you would like more information, I can have a NinjaTrader Ecosystem representative follow up with you.

Not what I was asking. Specifically I am seeking the kind of documented support for building things in NT8 like there is in NT7 like you see here. http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...?tutorials.htm The code changes found here http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...-us/?state.htm fall far short of explaining the structural changes that have apparently taken place in NT8. For example the word Initialize seems to be replaced by OnStateChange, but that is not true in all cases, is it? I have found a code by someone that converts over NT7 script to NT8 and I see where Initialize is still used. These converted indicators do in fact work, So, structurally speaking, some rules have changed, yes? The help guide for NT7 is a great deal more useful with this guidance.

Thanks for your reply.

NinjaTrader 8 is still in beta and some of the documentation will be lagging until we get a more finished state. For your understanding, in beta testing it is possible that methods can change (and they have changed through the beta versions) and each change requires documentation change. Our focus has been on getting NinjaTrader 8 production ready. The helpguide in NT8 by design will feature and currently does feature significantly more programming information that NT7.

As you are just getting your feet wet with Ninjascript and working now in NinjaTrader 8, I recommend that you spend the time to read and review the NT8 helpguides section regarding OnStateChange as the documentation does describe what elements go where. The NT8 "code breaking" section will also be a great value to review when converting. The code breaking changes section will also help you to see where things have moved so make sure you read the collapsed section of "Implementation Changes Overview" Finally, review the NT8 indicators themselves, as they are open source you can see how they are constructed.
