    Macd oscillator

    Hi guys

Im trying to fing a MACD that displays the full histogram rather than the crosses. I have attached a pic - this is a very common indie so im sure there is one out there - if anyone has one id love a copy :-)

In the picture its the top macd not the bottom marked 'i want this one' i got it from a diff forum and the poser wanted the other one - again its the top one that i need.

Just use the standard shipping MACD and turn off the Plots that you do not want to see. (Make them transparent in color).

        Hi

I tried that but it dosnt make any diff as the NT standars macd is the one with the OSMA as the histogram like the bottom one in the pic i posted - i am after the top macd where the histogram is the actual line of the macd rather than the crosses.

        Any other ideas?

druwainwright, have tried setting all plots but the MACD one to Transparent and then using a 'bar' style on it? That looks to be what the custom script you showed is doing...

            Thanks thats it.....

Is there any way to make the bars that rise be green and the bars that fall be red?

This would need programming then to customize coloring, for example check out the MACD UpDn script for NT7 and apply the same plotstyle changes to it - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...1&pp=15&page=2

Did you work with this one? http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...catid=4&id=465

There are 2, the second one is the NT7 compatible script.

The error is not related to the script I pointed you to, but to an already existing script (EMA_Multi) - if you could post a screen-shot with the error column expanded that would help us.

                        hi thanks for your help

i just deleted the bad indie and the macd is working perfectly now - thanks very much. out of interest is there a zigzag indie for NT like the MT4 version - see the link below

                        thanks again :-)

Glad to hear it works for you fine, there's a ZigZag per default in NT as well.
