Referencing Chart Markers from an Indicator
I have a tiny bit of experience with the IDrawObjects collection. It lead me to an idea which would need to do the following: First, a user would manually add chart markers at various locations. The indicator I had in mind would cycle through the entire Draw Objects collection to see if there was, say a diamond, on that bar, and if there was, set the indicator value to 1 for that bar.
Is this possible to do?Tags: None

Hello coolmoss,
Thanks for writing in and I am happy to assist you.
Yes, you can do it. Please see the below code which demonstrates it.
Code:foreach(IDrawObject o in DrawObjects) { if (o.UserDrawn) { if (o.DrawType == DrawType.FibonacciRetracements) { IFibonacciRetracements fibs = (IFibonacciRetracements)o; //do stuffs } else if (o.DrawType == DrawType.Ray) { IRay ray = (IRay)o; //do stuffs } else if (o.DrawType == DrawType.Line) { ILine line = (ILine)o; //do stuffs } // etc etc } }
Please let me know if I can assist you any further.JoydeepNinjaTrader Customer Service
