Unable to load charts for forward contracts

    Hi,

    I seem to be having a problem loading forward contract charts for a number of instruments including;

    SPI 03-13
    6E 03-13
    YM 03-13

The error message I receive is as follows; Error on loading chart data for 'SPI 03-13 Snfe': NinjaTrader data server does not support this instrument, no data available. I get the same message for the instruments above and others.

I can however load the instrument(s) in the DOM window. I noticed this problem since rollover, where front month moved from 09-12 to 12-12.

    Regards,
    suprsnipes

Hi suprsnipes, which data provider are you using with NT? So the same contracts with the current expiry would chart normally?

      Hi Bertrand,

The data provider I am using is CQG and yes the same contracts with the current expiry chart normally.

Thanks suprsnipes, which NT7 release are you working on here? Is this our latest R11 one?

If yes, please recheck there after a reset of your instruments under Tools > Options > Data.

I can confirm that I am using the latest R11. I reset the instruments as requested but the problem still remains?

Thanks, after your instruments reset, was NT started fresh as well then?

Yes I restarted NT as well, still hasn't solved the problem.

suprsnipes, thanks - I would not expect the error message that you see, but what will contribute is likely your merge policy set here - as the 03-13 contracts would not be front months as of now per the automatic continuous contract feature in NT. If you for example switch to 'DoNotMerge' for one instrument (doable in Tools > Instrument Manager for each master instrument) and reload data then, would the same error be returned?

Hi, I did in fact already have this option selected. Anything else I can try? I should add that I just tried loading the same forward contracts on another machine and I'm experiencing the same problem. I can load the instrument up on a DOM and under the Orders Tab also but not on any charts

Hi suprsnipes, would you mind contacting us via Help > Mail to Support from one of your machines so we could review your log/trace files and also schedule a remote support session with you?

                    Thanks

I have just sent the log/trace files via the Help > Mail to Support option.

                      Regards,

suprsnipes, please continue working with the 12-12 contract for now and recheck the 03-13 ones at the beginning of next week - the scenario you unfortunately ran into should then be resolved - please let me know if not.

                          Thank you,
