MP standard deviation

Hi,

Can anybody help me with how MP's standard deviation is calculated?

My guess is that, I have to go through all bars of the session and calculated the max distance(high or low) from the current POC.
Is that correct, or is the mean of the bar used, or completely different?

Found a good resource how the value area is calculated, but it's in german so I won't share it. Just delete the thread if you feel like it.

I've got the code in VBA if you feel to translate it in C#, if not I'm working on it already (took a part from http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/v...ulatevaluearea and adapting it). Will post it this week if I manage to finish it.

Hi guys, thanks for the links. Yep 70% of TPOs with comparing dual price total TPO counts below and above POC and adding the highest to the count is the way to go.
Haven't done the dual thing yet, sorta strange.

Thanks for that, I've already finished my MP looks reasonable but it's no where as pretty as fin alg's. Wish I knew what their implementation looks like.
