    displaying calculated variables

    I have some variables calculated in the initialize method part of the indicator.

    I want to display these somehow.

    1) I would prefer to display them in databox. How can I do this?

    2) I would also like to know how to display them in top left or bottom left corner of chart.

    thanks.

    1) Unfortunately this is beyond what we provide support for.
    2) NT6.5: please check out the new DrawTextFixed method

      1) can you outline the general steps involved? I am really lost how to approach this. And what methods or properties might be useful for me to achieve this one way or another?

      2) And how would I do this in 6? I don't use 6.5 beta anymore... it crashes way too often. 6 is far more stable.

        2) Unfortunately this feature only is available in NT6.5

          1) ok, I will ask a different question then. Not what I wanted, but I guess this is an easy workaround.

          how do I modify the value of an existing indicator property from within the indicator's initialize section?

            Not sure I follow. You can modify/access any property like:
            MyProperty = myValue;

              I think I tried that yesterday but after running the indicator, I went back into the indicator properties dialog and the old values were still displayed there. Is that normal behaviour?

              although I may have been modifying the underlying variable for the property. I can't remember.

                Likely yes. I suggest trying that only in OnBarUpdate method or the new event handling methods but not in Initialize to avoid confusion.
