    Using "beta" in an indicator

    Can we access the "beta" (e.g. the beta that we can add to a Market Analyzer) from within an indicator? If so, how would we do that?

    Hello AntiMatter,

    Thank you for your post.

    Yes, this is possible to do from within an indicator.

    You will need to use OnFundamentalData() -

    Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

      if (e.FundamentalDataType == FundamentalDataType.Beta) {
      Print("The current beta is " + e.DoubleValue);
      instrumentBeta = e.DoubleValue;
      }
      }

      This doesnt seem to get called until I'm on the final bar, but I need to know the beta on historic/old bars!

        Antimatter,

        This is data type provided by the data provider and may not contain Historical data for this particular type. You would need to contact the provider and inquire about what kind of historical data is available for this kind of data type
