How do I give a value to Open High Low Close, using the indicator as reference for value,.(pivots), then accumulate the value

I am not quite sure what you are asking.

Do you have a custom script that you are attempting to call the Open, High, Low, and Close of your primary data series from?

Are you trying to give this data to the pivots indicator?


To use the Open, High, Low, Close data you will need a bars ago value to specify which bar you would like this data from.

For the most current bar, use a bars ago value of 0.

For example:
Print(Close[0]);
Print(Open[0]);

This will print the close and then will print the open of the most recently closed bar (the current bar).

To accumulate data you will need a variable to save the accumlated value to.

For example:
In #region Variables:

private double myAccumulationVariable = 0;

In OnBarUpdate():

myAccumulationVariable += Close[0];

This code would accumulate the close price of every bar to the myAccumulationVariable variable.

The best way to begin learning NinjaScript is to use the Strategy Wizard. With the Strategy Wizard you can setup conditions and variables and then see the generated code in the NinjaScript Editor by clicking the View Code button.

There are a few Sample Automated Strategies which come pre-configured in NinjaTrader that you can use as a starting point. These are found under Tools--> Edit NinjaScript--> Strategy. You will see locked strategies where you can see the details of the code, but you will not be able to edit (you can though always create copies you can later edit via right click > Save as)

We also have some Reference samples online as well as ‘Tips and Tricks’ for both indicators and strategies:

These samples can be downloaded, installed and modified from NinjaTrader and hopefully serve as a good base for your custom works.
