3rd part indicator causing problems with Output Window

    Hi everyone

'pmcMultiTime Heat Map MT' is a 3rd party indicator I bought a couple of years ago and haven't used for some time.

When I print something to the Output Window, the following line often (but not always) appears:

Failed to call method 'Initialize' for indicator 'pmcMultiTime Heat Map MT 1.0': Please use the alternate method 'AddRenko()' instead of Add()
I'd prefer not to have to uninstall this indicator if possible but if necessary, I will.

    The code is hidden.

Is there a way of handling this issue without removing the indicator?

    Thanks very much in advance.

    Hello arbuthnot,

    Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, there would be no way to correct this unless you have access to the code. Are you calling the indicator within your own indicator?

Thanks for your prompt reply, Patrick.

No, I've never created any indicator that calls this one and certainly, it's not on any chart in my current (and only) workspace open.

I suppose the only way, therefore, to solve the problem is to uninstall this indicator.

      So two questions:

      - Is the best way to completely get rid of it to go to 'Remove NinjaScript Assembly'?

      - But would I have to go through every workspace (there are quite a few) in advance to make sure it's not loaded on any chart anywhere?

      Thanks for letting me know.

        Hello arbuthnot,

        Thank you for your response.

The best method is the File > Utilities > Remove NinjaScript Assembly option. You will not need to remove the references in your workspaces or templates.

Patrick - I've removed the 3rd party indicator in the way you suggested and, in my initial trials printing to the Output Window, the problem seems to have disappeared.

          Much obliged.
