IMPOSSIBLE to use StochRsi with actual settings......

    Hello all,

It's impossible to trade divergences using StochRsi provided by NT because only ONE parameter can be set (ie, the period). I mean that over overbought/sold values show NONE divergences !!! In fact, values shown at over values are always the same.

To be honest with you guys, I use it through the VT trader plateform but now I would like to use it with NT. I mean that I would like to fully trade with NT because and in my humble opinion, this is one of the best trading tool in the market we can find.

StochRsi is a very very effective indicator on any time frames for cleary indentifying classic/hidden divergences and this is the exact default settings (provided by VT trader) it requires :

    1) Period RSI : 8
    2) Period %K Stoch : 8
    3) Slowing %K Stoch : 3

Sincerely, it would be so kind if anybody could take a look to add this.

    Thanks for your attention,

    Happy trading

    Cheers

    Angel

        NinjaTrader_Ray,

for the stochrsi indicator in NT...there is only one parameter, but what does it default to...
        for example;...
        stochrsi(4)
        would be
        stochrsi(4,1)
        OR
        stochrsi(4,4)
        OR
        stochrsi(4,2)

mystiq, the Period is defaulted at 14, the smooth for the internal used RSI is hard coded to 1.

            to confirm...if i used a Period of (4) not (14)...

            stochrsi(4) would really be... stochrsi(4,1)? or stochrsi(4,14)?
to clarify: stochrsi(4) ...4 is the STOCHASTICS PERIOD and 1 is the RSI PERIOD? or 4 is the STOCHASTICS PERIOD and 14 is the RSI PERIOD?

No, the Period is the Stoch & RSI period - the internal smoothing period the regular RSI would offer for customization is hard coded in the StochRSI to be 1.

I hope that makes it clear.

hopefully after this is answered...are you saying with stochrsi(4) the stochastics period is FOUR and the rsi period is FOUR?
