    3/10-Oscillator

    Hi everybody,

tried to build Linda Raschke´s 3/10-Oscillator in ninjatrader? I am using MACD (3,10,1) at the moment but I cannot put in the Slowline (16) so it has to be programmed i think? Any recommendations...

    greets,

    gerhard

Here is a version of the 3-10 oscillator that I coded in Ninja. If it is what you are looking for, you are welcome to it.

      This looks fantastic, great work!

What do the green dots represent by the way?

(An interesting read related to the topic)

The green dots represent new momentum high/lows. To qualify, there needs to be a 40 period hi/low on the oscillator along with a 20 period hi/low on the price indicator. I use a 3 bar lookback on new price high/lows to allow for slight timing mismatches in price and oscillator highs.

              hi navido,
you dont have to unzip it, you have to go via
NinjaTrader > File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript + import the whole .zip.

              Thats how it works.

hi, VT, would it be possible to add a DOT when signal line crosses zero line? I tried this request on BMT, but it seems nobody is interested. thanks

                        Hello Sartis23
                        .
Please excuse me for being redundant with my question. I just do not understand your explanation per the Green Dot. When you say '40 period Hi/Low of the oscillator", do you mean the slow line or the fast line?
On the same token, what do you mean by '20 period Hi/Low on the price indicator'? Furthermore, you stated that you "use 3 bar lookback on new price Hi/Lows to allow for slight timing mismatches in price and oscillator" Could you please explain to me what you mean by these statements?
                        Thank you very much.
                        Very Best Regards.
                        From searchman.

                            Hello Colby,

Welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forums!

Are you able to find the file that you downloaded using Windows? For example when you open up (My) Computer and then navigate to where you have downloaded the file.

Happy to be of further assistance.

Yes I can find it that way, but when I open it it is just a bunch of jibberish. I think somehow it is getting converted to a php file. I did however download the lbr 310 oscillator from Big Mike Trading and imported it without a problem, but when I download from the Ninjatrader shared files is when I have the problem. I recently tried the divergence spotter from the forum and it shows on my desktop and when I click on the properties of the file the file type is php. Any suggestions?

                              Thanks
