Using externally calculated indicator data for DataSeries class

I calculate a daily indicator in Excel that uses data that I cannot get into NinjaTrader because it is unique. Suppose this data was the "Number of Stocks at New Highs" data, so it is a single value for each day. I would like to be able to plot this data as an indicator below a standard price chart of any stock symbol. So, for example's sake, lets say it is the S&P.

So, I am plotting the S&P in NT from my data source, and beneath it I wish to plot my unique indicator which is in excel, but I export to a file that is csv for importing purposes.

Is there a way to do this task in NT without importing the data as a "OHLC" stock type of data? I have programming experience, but not much with NT, and want to start off down the optimal path to accomplish this task.

    Any suggestions for best method?

    Hello,
    Thanks for posting today.

Here is a sample NinjaScript that shows how to read and write to text files. Adapt this code sample to be able set your OHLC values for your custom indicator.
