    hi

in the import historical data window
opening edit window the zooming to certain hour
    the scroll doesnt work
    any help?

If you did not, you may need to try clicking on the grid that is displayed on the right side with the scroll bar.

Just moving your mouse over that grid area would not be enough to 'focus' the grid so it is scrollable - but left mouse clicking and then scrolling should work.

I'm not sure, would need to know exactly what you did while importing, is this related to this post? http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...776#post447776 If so, can we move the discussion to just one thread.

Based on the size of the file, it is likely that the thread using the Historical Data windows was busy and locked up during the import process. When you restarted, it only showed data up to the point it would have locked up. Do you use the 32-bit or 64-bit version? You can check this by going to Help-> About.

If it shows nothing, then it would be 32-bit... the 64-bit would show (64-bit).

There are restrictions on the size of files you can process on the 32-bit version.

Can you test again by making sure to start the 64-bit version of NinjaTrader 8. This should be reflected on the icon used to start.

                    I see. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes, that could be a problem with the amount of data you're trying to load. If it's 4GB file, that needs to be loaded into memory and 32-bit can only handle 1.2GB~ of memory for an application at most.

As advised earlier, you may be able to work through this by requesting data from dukascopy in smaller chunks. But with that said, we will run the import process on 32-bit and 64-bit and see if there is something we can do to improve this.

                      by the way
i downloaded a smaller file for just the first 2 months
                      it was 12 mg
                      but showed same problem
so i think it is not about the file size
it works well on nt7 when i dont use sub second granularity
                      yyyymmddhhmmss
but when i try to use
                      yyyymmddhhmmssfffffff
                      it shoes the problem

To clariy the problem it shows, do you mean that it is still not importing all the of the data that is contained in the file?

Or do you mean that the scroll doesn't work?

Or that it gives an error about the date time being smaller as per the other thread...?

                          scroll now works
when scrolling i find missing ticks on the edit of nt which are present in the txt file opened by text application
and over this there is the problem of the date time being smaller
i m sending now smaller file having the 2 months showing problem to ur mail
it is 12 mg from 3-8-2003 to 31-9-2003

Ok thanks. The technician who received your email was unable to receive the attached file, but please try again using the smaller file and you can work from there.
