    Bid-Ask Time

Anyone whose familiar with coding in Ninjatrader, I'm looking to code this indicator. I've noticed that the current tick trend is pretty easily figured out. If price keeps hanging at the bid or ask, it signifies that price is looking to take out that side, and with each new bar creation, it continually is one sided. And its especially evident in slow markets.

So the time spent hanging at the Bid of Ask should be able to be logged, and obviously this can't be back tested, since its "real-time" dependent to work. So with each new tick bar creation price tends to either hang at the high or low of each tick bar, based on the implied direction headed.

Not sure how the platform signifies what the current bid or ask is in code form.

Bar Timer indicator is the closest code that I can modify. It only works on minute charts, how would I modify it to work on 'tick' charts.

        Hello,

        Thank you for the question.

I would be unable to say if that would be possible to re write this for Tick charts, Tick charts are not time based so there would be no set end time. You could potentially get the length it takes to close a bar, but I do not know of a way you would estimate an end time based on that.

You could also review the TickCounter indicator as this is indented to be used with TIck charts, potentially you could modify that instead to your needs?

Please let me know if I may be of additional assistance.
