    Saving Indicator Parameters

    I am adding a parameter to an indicator which works fine but when I exit NinjaTrader the next time the workspace is opened the parameter is blank.

    Here is the code I used for the parameter:

    [XmlIgnore][Display(ResourceType = typeof(Custom.Resource), Name = "Symbol Name", Order = 1, GroupName = "NinjaScriptParameters")]
    public string Symbol
    { get; set; }

    This is a string with a symbol name (^DJIA, ES 06-16 etc.). Am I missing something to get the values to save?

    This is running on NT 8.0.0.10 64-bit (Standard) - BETA

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    Thank you for the post.

    This is simply the [XmlIgnore] attribute that is appended to the property.

    Serialization is how items get saved, by adding the [XmlIgnore] it is saying to ignore this property from serialization.

    Additionally you can omit the custom resource part, or:

    Code:
    [Display(Name = "Symbol Name", Order = 1, GroupName = "NinjaScriptParameters")]
    public string Symbol
    { get; set; }
    I look forward to being of further assistance.
