SMA of 60 mins time frame to be on a volume chart?

    Hi,

Is it possible to create a custom indicator whereby i can have the SMA of a 60 minutes time frame to be on a volume chart?

If yes, where should i find the reference link to do so?

    Thanks.

    Hello Draco,

This is easily accomplished with Ninja. I am including a link to the multi time frame and instruments section of the help guide, which contains detailed instructions on working with multiple time series in a single indicator.

      Hi,

      Thanks.

Just another question, does ninja standard platform provide such action? i mean ready made for use on Ninja itself for such multi time frame action.

      Thanks.

        Hello Draco76,

I took that to mean you would like a way to have multiple time frames in a single chart panel? If this is the case, you can use this procedure :

        • press ctrl + f from a chart to bring up the data series window
        • select an instrument from the upper left
        • press new
        • configure its time series on the right
        • (optional) change all its colors to transparent, so it does not display candles
        • change its panel property to 1

Once you have multiple data series on your chart, you can feed them to indicators. For example, on a volume chart, you can instead feed minute data you added this way to an SMA indicator. You can do this using the indicator's Input Series property in its properties screen (ctrl + i to bring up).
