Free EOD data for Australian Market

Hi Guys,

can anyone help me in getting free EOD data for the stocks traded in the ASX200.

I tried to connect to Google, but I don't get any data for the ASX stocks. The same happens if connecting with Kinetick free EOD.

Anyone have an idea on what to do to get the data?

Unfortunately no, there is not a data provider that offers free ASX200 EOD data that we are aware of.

What happened to the Yahoo connection?

In the past we were able to connect to Yahoo, but now it has disappeared from the connection list?

Any particular reason for this?

The Yahoo connection was discontinued due to a backend change to the API NinjaTrader had accessed a few months ago.See the below forum post for more on this.

Unfortunately, even free Yahoo Finance API is dead. They closed it and it seems it will not be opened.

I can recommend to use EOD Historical Data API (https://eodhistoricaldata.com). They offer ASX end-of-day prices in 'All World' package. It's not free, but prices are cheap enough.

I recently stumbled upon an interesting article called The 5 Best Yahoo Finance API Alternatives (https://daytradingz.com/yahoo-finance-api-alternatives/).

They actually count six alternatives, and for me, NinjaTrader is the best alternative to Yahoo Finance API because data can be easily exported even from the free EOD version of NT8.

Quality of data is the most crucial aspect closely followed by the pricing tag. Not anyone can afford to buy data from NASDAQ, so I recommend you to do a test drive with NinjaTrader.

Yes, the data has CSV output, I believe it’s easy to import the data to NinjaTrader, because it supports CSV import: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...?importing.htm.
